Pendennis Vilanova selected to host America's Cup Preliminary Regatta
Vilanova i la Geltrú was selected as the Host Venue for the first Preliminary Regatta of the 37th America’s Cup, with racing to take place over four days between 14-17th September 2023 in the world’s most exciting new foiling class – the AC40. Pendennis Vilanova was selected to serve as the technical area which hosted the team bases and their AC40’s.

Launch of state-of-the-art paint facility
Our new paint facility with state-of-the-art spray booths was completed in spring 2023. The new 14 x 7m booth allows for the painting of tenders, yacht sections and components without the need to erect tents or transport items off-site.

Pendennis Vilanova celebrates 300th project and 5th anniversary year
In the spring Pendennis Vilanova celebrated completing its 300th project. 2023 also marks five years since Pendennis invested into the marina and associated facilities in Spain, and through a programme of strategic investment and the hard work of the 50 plus team on the ground, the business is thriving.
2022
Third phase of the development
In July 2022, work began on a third phase of development of the site, which included creating a paint facility with state-of-the-art spray booths plus office and training space. The booth is accompanied by 230sqm of preparation area, plus a multi-functional space above complete with a terrace boasting fantastic views over the technical service centre.
2021
Second phase of the development
A second phase of the development was completed in September 2021 to further upgrade the hardstanding area, meaning that the entire area within the shipyard perimeter is now a newly laid high-quality surface, totalling 30,000sqm.

Ngoni first yacht to be lifted in 620t hoist
After becoming the first yacht to be lifted by the newly delivered 620t hoist, SY Ngoni was placed on the hardstanding for paint and maintenance works.

Vilanova welcomes Pendennis Falmouth's 620t travel hoist
In September 2019, the delivery of our 620t travel hoist from Falmouth to Vilanova was a welcome addition to the facilities on site, meanwhile in Falmouth our hoist was upgraded to an 800t model.

Launching our superyacht Technical Service Centre
Initial works were completed in the Autumn of 2019 resulting in a superyacht Technical Service Centre trading as Pendennis Vilanova. Here you can see the pier under construction prior to the launch.
2018
Pendennis announces a majority share hold in Vilanova Grand Marina
In the latter part of 2018, Pendennis announced a majority share hold in Vilanova Grand Marina, with adjacent land for further development.
2006
Vilanova Grand Marina is built
The marina was originally built between 2006-2009 and is set in a protected and safe harbour with calm and clean waters.
