Story
During the 2024–2025 season, Whisper visited Pendennis Vilanova for a refit that combined exterior refinishing, structural maintenance, and race-oriented optimisation. The project was completed undercover and included bulwark painting and the removal and renewal of the teak margin planks to allow for paintwork and corrosion treatment. Technicians also removed the deck hatches and surrounding teak to treat corrosion on the hatch frames. Additional works included replacing hydraulic hoses, completing a series of varnish treatments, and servicing the John Deere engines. The refit also supported performance enhancements, with Pendennis providing assistance to the client during a modification of the rudder design specifically for racing.
